Navigation, Notifications, And Cart Basics
In this article, you will learn how to move around Floral Stock, read notifications, use the cart, and understand access messages.
Add a short walkthrough of the main menu, notification bell, cart, language selector, and profile menu on desktop and mobile.
Before You Start
Sign in first. The menu changes based on your role, so your screen may not show every option listed in the help center.
Use The Dashboard And Menu
- Open the main menu.
- Select the area you need, such as Products, Orders, Standing Orders, Inventory, Data Entry, or Setup.
- Use Back or the menu to move to another area.
On a phone, the most-used areas — Home, Inventory or Products (depending on your role), Orders, Cart, and You (your profile) — are always available in the tab bar at the bottom of the screen. Everything else stays in the main menu.
The dashboard gives a quick starting point. Operations users may see business charts, while customer and farm users see shortcuts for their daily tasks.
Read Notifications
- Select the notification bell.
- Review the unread count in the bell's accessible label and the new messages in the panel.
- Select View Details when a notification points to another screen.
- Select Mark As Read or Mark All Read when you are finished.
Notifications may appear for upload results, order activity, standing order updates, or system messages. Each message shows a localized relative time. When everything is read, the panel shows No notifications and the unread count is zero. If notifications cannot be loaded, the panel shows an unavailable state instead of a false zero count. Select Retry after checking your connection.
Use The Shopping Cart
- Add products from Products.
- Open the cart from the header (on phones, use Cart in the bottom tab bar).
- Review quantities, prices, arrival dates, and item totals.
- Update quantities or remove items as needed.
- Continue to checkout when the cart is correct.
Cart items are held for a limited time. If time runs out, the items return to available inventory.
Change Theme Or Language
- Use the theme control to switch between light and dark mode when available.
- Use the language selector to choose English or Spanish.
Language affects the app, emails, and supported documents when your organization is configured for them.
Understand Access Messages
If you see an access denied page, your account does not have access to that area. If you see a sign-in service message, Floral Stock is having trouble checking your sign-in status.
Troubleshooting
- If the cart says an item is no longer available, accept the available quantity or remove the item.
- If arrival dates changed, review the new dates before continuing.
- If you keep seeing an access message, contact your administrator and tell them which screen you were trying to open.
